I watched a barefooted child spit chewed up noodle on the ground while his ALSO barefooted mother tapped away on her smart phone, which made the atmosphere, in my opinion, unsavory. I ordered the seafood chowder (which was mislabeled, chowder is usually milk/cream based and I ended up with a vegetable stew with bits of shrimp) and the salmon (overcooked and dry). I'm giving it 3 stars because my boyfriend was very happy with his order, The Slam Dunk (A sporty title for a French Dip).
Working on a summer house up the road from here. Port Austin is kind of dead after the holidays but this place serves a mean fish taco and staff is very polite and eager to help. Great atmosphere! Looking forward to my next visit. Very clean also.
Always an excellent meal, today was Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries .... but breakfasts are our favorite..... especially the hash browns with ribbons of cornbeef mixed through it, homemade sunflower toast and preserves....... spicy bloodymarys and coffees and cocoa with a touch of something extra
Food was ok, drinks were week, & service marginal at best. Surf & turf 25.00 for a unseasoned under cooked "medium" steak & a few pieces of perch. Good thing we reviewed our tab multiple drinks on there that weren't ours. Other local bar burgers will be the better option for us next time.
We are staying down the street and thought we'd stop in for a drink and dinner. The service was great, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was enjoyable even for the kids. Our server Bre was very attentive. The burger was delicious, the fish tacos were awesome and the desserts were well made. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
